Cosmo Cool Concepts is proud to celebrate Senior Sales Manager Melissa Mares, DMCP who was honored as 2025 Member of the Year at the MPI Houston Area Chapter Awards Gala.
The annual awards event was held on January 22, 2026, at Hotel Zaza in Houston’s Museum District and recognized outstanding contributions across the local meetings and hospitality community.
This year’s ceremony, themed “Sunsets & Succulents,” shone a spotlight on the achievements and dedication of members who continue to elevate the MPI Houston Chapter and the broader hospitality industry. Melissa’s recognition reflects her exceptional commitment to volunteer service and leadership within the organization.
Melissa has served the MPI Houston Chapter in several leadership roles, including Vice President of Membership, and currently serves as Vice President of Leadership Development. Her passion for mentorship, member engagement, and professional growth has made a meaningful and lasting impact on the chapter.
A 2015 graduate from the Hilton College Global Hospitality Leadership program at the University of Houston, Melissa brings more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including over 10 years in destination management. She joined Cosmo Cool Concepts in 2019 and has been an integral part of the sales team ever since.
Known for her favorite saying, “I will always live and love to serve,” Melissa truly embodies the spirit of hospitality. Her generosity, leadership, and commitment to others are evident in everything she does, and Cosmo Cool Concepts is proud to celebrate this well-deserved recognition.
